What a Day!

Well, some days you win and some days you lose. I would have to say that I was a loser yesterday. Call it a combination of Clay leaving for a month, PMS, paperwork that HAD to get done and running around for various things. I even got angry that the flute teacher didn’t show up for the make up lesson that I scheduled the day around, before I realized that it’s next week. NICE! There was a general ugliness in our house yesterday. But, today is a new day with a chance to redeem myself and be the wife/mother/friend/adult I am striving to be. But, even with yucky days, there is good. Maddi got to spend the ENTIRE day at Sea world with a friend. Mariah started her volleyball camp and we did manage to go to the park in the afternoon and the kiddos that went with me had fun. Luke-Xavier is getting big enough to get onto the equipment by himself. Max brought his bike and zoomed around the playground. Tristan challenged himself to the obstacle course and Gabi enjoyed everything (except taking turns on the bouncy whale). Arianna came with me and helped watch the little ones. Kateri came over after work and helped with dinner. The salad turned out really good. Thanks Honey! And Clay came home from work in go mode and got much done before getting on a plane this morning. There is always turbulence around his leaving. Even if we can’t directly see it at the time, it always traces back to it. But, we always do just fine while he is gone. I think that this time it’s hard for me to realize that when he gets back, there are only 4 days before he leaves again to take Kateri to school. It’s all right around the corner! The week after Kateri leaves, Clay takes JJ out to school. So much change in our home for this fall!
