Thursday at Our House

Lots of sun and water fun at our house today. The new pool is really earning it’s keep! Tristan is a total water bug! Gabi and Lex are a little small to be comfortable without floaties, but we have the tiny pool for them. Gabi wore braids for the first time and I thought it was picture worthy. Clay and I spent a lot of time calling and emailing Steubenville today. We are in a frantic dash to get a student loan to them. The deadline is tomorrow but they say we can stretch it a couple of weeks. That’s all fine and dandy, but Clay leaves in a few days for a 5 week school. So, really it all needs to be done before he goes. But, we have stressed out about Kateri’s schooling almost every year since she entered 7th grade and it’s all worked out. So, my “it’s all gonna work out the way God wants it to” level is getting pretty high. Other than that, we discussed different camps for the kids and uniforms for Mariah. One of Kateri’s friends left uniforms for Mariah and they fit perfectly! Hooray! So, all in all, not too much to chat about today. However, it would be wrong for me to go to bed without saying something nice about my brother Ted. Well, let’s see........he can make a mean Starbucks liqueur and cream and his white russians aren’t too bad either! Ok, he makes us laugh on occasion too. We love you Ted! OH! I should mention that my dad had a procedure done on his heart today! Many prayers went out from MANY people and it all seems to have gone well. He was having an irregular heart beat and they did something to help correct it. It all sounded quite scary! But he is home and the prayers will continue that from here on out he has no problems.
