Typing in red because I am a little hot under the collar. Why can children sleep until 10am on any given day of the week, but without fail 6am is wake up time on Saturday?! It just makes me frustrated! So.........cereal for breakfast and I better get dressed. Today is ice skating. 2 of the girls have been ice skating every Saturday since September. It’s a great program and they enjoy it, but truth be told, it’s a waste of $ because we are never going to get them personal trainers and enter them into the contests and shows. Plus, every Saturday I am at the mall and inevitably spend $ that I would not have spent otherwise (the rink is at a mall). So, when do we end the madness?! Who knows! JJ returns from his week-long camp today. I am sure he’s had a GREAT time and is in a good mood. Hooray! Yesterday we got Mariah set up with a volleyball camp at the high school so that when she tries out for the team she has a better shot. She’d love to play. But, of course, this will involve a lot of driving. I’m getting a bit anxious about the fall because Tristan will be playing soccer and if all goes well Mariah will be playing volleyball. Anna and Maddi will certainly want to play whichever fall sport is offered at the school and I won’t be able to say no when the other kids are involved in sports. So.........do we get to drop ice skating at that point? Anyway, I’m just realizing what a break summer really is for me and our schedule and not looking forward to jumping back into the madness. I am also realizing that I am starting Saturday morning in a bad mood. Ugh!
