The First Installment

Well, the day started early with Clay leaving at 4am for a week (or so) long trip to Pensacola to pick up a new helo. When I got up, I had Kateri take me to the airport to retrieve the truck. This way, I did not have to leave at 4am with Clay. It was beautiful out and the little ones played in the new pool that Clay put together for them this weekend. They really have gotten a lot of use out of it already! Gabi is potty training and did GREAT today! Hooray! Lots of treats were handed out. This evening we piled into the borrowed Yukon and took JJ to play laser tag with a youth group. I decided to stay out and treated the other kiddos to Souplantation. They were very good! Near the end, 2 women with 3 screaming toddlers came out to the patio and decided that the very best place to sit would be directly behind us. Mind you, they had to JAM in when there were MANY open tables all around the patio. Go figure! Max listened to one of the little ones scream for a few minutes and then said, “what’s wrong with that crazy baby”? Oh! Time to finish our meal and leave! Then off to Mervyn’s were Maddi and Anna got to spend gift cards from Grandma. This was not an easy task with 6 children in tow! Of course they wanted to try MANY things on. JJ ended up meeting us and helping with the little boys while the girls finished. Anyway, everyone is now pajama’d, teeth brushed, prayer’d and in bed. Whoo! I should probably go to bed, but my mind is racing with all I could do.
