The day in review (already)

t’s 1:01 pm and I am already reviewing the craziness that is my Saturday. I found the above picture while holding the bathroom door shut with my foot to keep the screaming 1 and 2 year olds out. She used to have a head and is holding a glass of red wine with a cute phrase underneath that says something like; Take time for yourself. Even on the busiest day it’s important to take a break”. I had to laugh! How do I get that job?! So far we’ve been up at 5 am, gotten dressed, had breakfast, unclogged the kitchen sink, gone to the mall for ice skating, visited 5 bathrooms there (I will never cease to be amazed at how many times a potty-training 2yr. old can go to the bathroom), taken everyone home, left again to drop Mariah off at “family day” to volunteer at the nature center and come home to oversee the chores so that we also can go to “family day”. But, it was while on my way home from dropping Mariah off that I listened to Luke-Xavier scream his head off and thought of the Dirty Jobs guys from TV. There I am driving my 15 passenger van in my cute clothes, fixed hair and lipstick, thinking, is there anything dirtier than motherhood?! Potty accidents, dirty pool problems, mess after dirty mess on the various floors, dog accidents, gluck under beds and tables.............Hey, Mike Rowe, try keeping a home with 11 or even 8 people in it sanitary! Well, back to reality and the fact that I now have to put away the picture of “relaxing lady with glass of wine” and continue on to the dirty, crazy finish of Saturday~
