A Better Day
I am a much more positive person today than yesterday! Maddi got off to camp with no problems. We pray for a safe and fun camp experience for her. JJ’s physical went well. Except that I forgot about his eye issues (he can’t see well out of one eye and over compensates with the other). He’s supposed to wear a hard contact on the left eye, but hasn’t in a couple of years. Other than that, he’s healthy and ready for Boy Scout camp as well as the school year. Kateri came by after work and watched the kids for about 2 hours while I got JJ to a boy scout meeting and then met Ted for dinner. I REALLY needed to get out for a little while. When I got home I played outside with the 4 youngest kiddos before cleaning them up for bed. I got to ride my bike (just up and down the street), but it felt so good! Max was trying to keep up on his little bike. So cute! Luke-Xavier did some great walking today! He’s standing himself up without using the wall or tables etc. and just taking off. Clay did a great job of getting down to business while in Pensacola and the bird is ready to be brought back. He will leave tomorrow and take about 3 days to get home. He says they will be trying to stay out of the way of some storms. I also heard from the adjuster for our van and it will be repaired in about 2-3 weeks. We are so fortunate to have some great people in our life and are not completely without a vehicle. But, having a vehicle that does not seat our whole family has really slowed us down. It’s not all bad though. We are getting some home projects done that would not have gotten attention otherwise. I guess that’s it for today. Time to get to bed and plan out tomorrow. Good night~
